Group Lodging

The Buffalo Lodge is perfect for all of your lodging needs. From private romantic getaways to the ideal retreat for large groups such as family reunions, church and youth groups, outdoor clubs, scouts, weddings and receptions, corporate and team building retreats as well as memorable gatherings of family and friends. Including the bunkhouse, we have eight
sleeping areas and can accommodate up to 35 people. We are perfect for youth groups since the bunkhouse allows you to separate the boys' and girls' sleeping quarters. Adjacent to the Buffalo Lodge is a five-star 'campsite' that includes a large rock fire ring for those campfires and S'mores, lots of  benches for seating, four picnic tables and a few hammocks perched beneath towering pine trees. Our 'campsite' setting is also in total privacy. Perhaps the best part of our 'campsite' is slipping back to a waiting warm bed just across the driveway giving you the best of both worlds!

Romantic Getaways

The Buffalo Lodge is also versatile enough to be an ideal romantic getaway. Our luxury honeymoon suite is furnished with beautiful aspen log furniture including a huge king-sized log bed and plush mattress. The large bath in the suite has a whirlpool tub and separate walk-in shower. Imagine soaking
in the outdoor hot tub under an awesome blanket of stars. Or perhaps holding hands, talking about your dreams near the campfire, uninterrupted by life's distractions. We can even provide isolated picnic spots with double hammocks in areas of breath-taking natural beauty. Picture yourselves hiking together to locations with tremendous mountain top views. How about enjoying a candle-lit dinner with soft music. Why rent a tiny cabin when you can have your own secluded lodge, a sanctuary, for the same price?

Hiking

Outdoor enthusiasts may hike our beautiful land surrounding the Buffalo Lodge to discover many hidden treasures. Because of our perfect location, we also are only a few minutes from some of the most special places in the United States. Places that may be seen on the cover of coffee table
books are close by to enjoy firsthand! Some of the most popular are Whitaker Point (Hawksbill Crag), Round Top Mountain, Lost Valley, Hemmed-in Hollow, Sam's Throne and, of course, the Buffalo National River.

Canoeing

With canoe rentals and Kyle's Landing right across the highway, our location couldn't be any better! And for those of you who'd rather fish than float, small mouth bass fishing is great on the Buffalo National River. In fact, our central location means you are only a few miles from all access points
along the famed upper end of the Buffalo National River. This stretch of the Buffalo River with its 500 foot bluffs, whitewater thrills and rugged natural beauty, was the main reason it was designated and protected as the first national river in the United States.

About the Area

We are the closest lodging to Camp Orr Boy Scout Camp. We are honored to provide a home for families of scouts from across the nation. Camp Orr is the only Boy Scout camp surrounded by national park and has an awesome waterfall, Twin Falls, available to the public.

Our immediate area offers the most incredible combination of hiking, horseback riding, hunting, fishing, floating, caving, rock climbing and elk and wildlife viewing in the United States. Some of the most scenic and photographed spots in mid-America are all within minutes of the Buffalo Lodge. Even with the absolute seclusion of the Buffalo Lodge, our location here at Mt. Sherman is extremely convenient.

Where the Road Ends...

Escape reality in the rustic elegance of our two-story log lodge surrounded by towering pines in a park-like setting. Winter, spring, summer or fall, the Buffalo Lodge has it all!

...and Relaxation Begins!
