Mission Statement: We are Christian owners who first of all want to bring glory to God through our lives in all we do. We strive to maintain the highest integrity in how we do business and in how we treat you. We are thrilled to have as our managers a wonderful family, Jeff & Michelle Lawson, who are on site daily to serve you with joy, honesty & respect.

 

Reservations:  Call 870-446-2163.   We accept telephone reservations from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., 7 days a week.  Phone reservations are secured by a credit card deposit for the 1st night of a multiple-night stay or full payment for a one-night stay.  We will send e-mail confirmation after charging deposits on credit cards.  We accept Visa, MasterCard, & Discover.

A three night minimum applies in some lodging units over Memorial Day Weekend and Elk Fest.

Discounts:  GOOD SAM and AAA members receive a 10% discount off our daily standard rates. Please let us know you have club memberships when making your reservation and present your membership card at check-in.

Cancellations:   We will refund 90% of your paid deposit if we receive cancellation notice prior to 30 days of your scheduled arrival date.  If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival, your deposit will not be refunded.  However, we WILL give you a future-stay credit good for 1 year (not valid Memorial Day week end or Elk Fest).

**Rates are based on 2 person occupancy, unless otherwise noted.   Extra persons 4 years & older are an additional $10 each per night.

**Rates include pillows, bedding & towels.   If you'd like to bring your own bedding & towels, we'll take 10% off your rate.  

All our cabins are cleaned with toxin-free, eco-friendly Melaleuca cleaning products!

Pavilion:  The Pavilion may be rented by our registered campers for $20/day.  Any guests coming from off the grounds to join campers must pay the $4 day-use fee.  Non-campers may rent the pavilion for $25/day + the $4 day-use fee per person.

Visitors:  Our visitor policy is explained on our Rules & Policies page.

Dogs are welcome to stay in our cabins for $15 per stay.  There is also a refundable $50.00 credit card damage deposit per pet.  At check-in your credit card will be charged.  After the cabin has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected by management (and no damage to rugs, contents, furniture, floor, etc., is found) we will refund to your card the deposit amount within one week.  Our pet policy is further explained on our Rules & Policies page.

There is always some type of event going on in Newton County the following is a list of the major events that take place each year.

THIRD FRIDAY IN APRIL: Annual Spring Dogwood Tour $6 per person. Buses leave from the Jasper Square. Bring a sack lunch. Contact Peggy Bibb at 479-284-3150 or Angela Slape at 870-446-6180 for reservations.

THIRD SATURDAY IN APRIL: “Wheels for Meals” Parade Be in downtown Jasper on Saturday, April 16th at 10AM for this grand parade. Sponsored by the Newton County Senior Service Center as a fundraiser for their “Meals on Wheels” program. Followed by a luncheon. Contact: 870-446-5531.

FIRST WEEKEND IN MAY: Kingstons’s annual “Fair on the Square”. Activities include a parade, lots of music, Arts & Crafts, Children’s Activities, and much more. For information call: 870-420-3731

JUNE 24th & 25th: 14th Annual Buffalo River Elk Festival This major event celebrates Newton County’s title of "Elk Capital of Arkansas." You will find artists, crafters, and other vendors showcasing their wares as well as Elk Permits Drawings, contests, entertainment, fishing derby and other kids activities. 4TH OF JULY: Deer Volunteer Fire Department Celebration Old fashioned 4th of July event begins at 2PM at the Deer School grounds, with plenty of food and ice cream, bingo, horseshoe tournaments, and other activities for all ages. Sept 23rd-25th - 24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell: 24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell is an endurance rock climbing competition that pairs partners in an all out sufferfest of strength, stamina and mental endurance. Teams of two tackle 24 hours of continuous rock climbing at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch in what has become one of the largest and most coveted rock climbing competitions in the United States. OCTOBER 14-16 - OUTDOOR RENDEZVOUS 2011: Join us in Newton County for the second annual weekend of hiking some of the great trails in the area, outdoor classes on subjects such as basic survival & winter backpacking and the challenge of Rock Climbing at Horseshoe Canyon. 3rd SATURDAY IN OCTOBER: Home Tour: Drive at your leisure through beautiful Newton County and visit four creative or historic homes through which hostesses conduct guided, informative tours from noon until 5 pm. 4th WEEKEND IN OCTOBER: Color Fest: Join us for outdoor demonstrations of fine art displays by professional Arkansas artists. Observe their techniques, visit with them, browse or purchase their works or bring your supplies and join in the fun. This colorful event is held at the Ponca Elk Education Center from 10 - 4:30. 1st THURSDAY IN DECEMBER: Newton County Christmas Beautiful tree lighting ceremony and fantastic night time parade on the Jasper Square. Sponsored by the Jasper Kiwanis Club. Call 870-446-2633.

BUFFALO NATIONAL RIVER EVENTS: The National Park Service hosts a variety of events throughout the year including craft activities, slide shows and hikes. Check with the visitors centers or any ranger station for schedules.
