Vacation with us today! Select one of our cabins and enjoy your vacation in the Ozark Mountains and the Buffalo National River Country.Jasper Resort - Cottages & Retreat
We are the first to construct authentic Cottages in the area 16 years ago. Webster’s Dictionary defines Cottages as: “a small, usually one storied dwellings at a Resort or in the country, used for vacations, or any of several separate cottages make up a camp or park which occupants or guests are housed”. We have cottages!!! All our Cottages are different floor plans and layouts. They are all wood constructed and are sided with wood (just not in shape of logs). Our Red Roof Retreat is a unique park model with porches and located in the trees. It is a favorite for reunions, and family get-togethers. Many guests have stayed in each of the different cottages over the years and now return to their favorite one, year after year. You will too. We are the closest lodging rental to Jasper and the only one in Newton County that offers a swimming pool and it has a children’s tube slide. We also have a fenced playground. All our lodging has firepits and picnic table outside. We sell firewood, ice and snacks in our check-in office. Wal-mart is 20 miles north in Harrison if you must. Just up the road in Jasper is Emma’s Museum of Junk a place you must see as it will take you back in time and you will enjoy every minute of it (free). A little over a mile is our 5 café’s, including the historical Ozark Café (the walls tell all), grocery store, gas station. Visit the Chamber of Commerce for tourist information, local artist work, photography, Crafts and area maps. Elk Center for Buffalo River hiking and floating options. In Jasper there are canoe rental concessionaires that will pick up groups in the park seasonally. They will shuttle you from downtown Jasper to the National Buffalo River access points. Best hiking trail is 3 miles south at Round Top Mountain, site of plane crash in the 40’s. You can hike most parts of the upper Buffalo, see the Elk in Ponca and drive Scenic 7. Need a day away: Branson, Eureka Springs, Bull Shoals Lake, fishing in the White River all just over an hour. Or just hang around your cottage and go one mile south to the little Buffalo or five miles east or north and fish in the Buffalo National River. No one else is as close to both rivers that provides choices of lodging, pool, location and prices. What also makes us different is we discount our cottages if you bring your own sheets, blankets, pillows and towels & or sleeping bags. We do not do any daily cleaning of cottages - unless requested by you and we charge a fee of $12.00 and we must be notified at check-in of times/dates you need housekeeping. Bedding change additional $8.00 per bed, at that time. If we provided towels you can drop off to us in our check-in office between 8:00am and 10:00am and we will send out and they will be returned by 3:00pm to your cottage. Bring your own pool towels and any special kitchen items we may not provide. Pets in Lodging$10.00 Per stay per dog fee, additional cleaning charge. $50.00 Damage deposit per dog (refundable if no damage 48 hours after check-out) Day Use Fee/Visitors Policy If you have any additional guest or visitors not registered at check-in they must upon arrival stop at office and check-in and pay a $3.00 per person day use fee if they are going to be anywhere in the park or at your Cottage for more than one hour and/or use our swimming pool. The day use fee covers them to be in the park 7:00am to 10:00pm. This helps us keep track of who is in the park while you are away! We have a visitor parking area. If your additional guests or visitors decide to spend the night with you then they need to pay additional person (s) charge of $8.00 without bedding or $12.00 with. The above is for the consideration of other guests in the park and helps us keep our prices low with rates being based on number of people. If you don’t have more people why pay for more people. Next visit have your friends stay with us. We have a covered pavilion with a bathroom for rent of $20.00 for 4 hours. If your guests and visitors join you here for a BBQ or get together we only charge your guests-visitors a day use fee in addition to pavilion fee. Weekly rates we offer 15% off Cottages.
