Wits End Ranch Cabins

The Wits End Ranch location is private and secluded, yet less than 5 minutes from U.S. Hwy 65, Ľ mile past the Hwy. 65 & Coursey’s Dr. Junction. It is one of the most beautiful spots in the Ozark Mountains. The ranch is located less than an hour south of Harrison, Arkansas and less than 2 hours from Little Rock, Arkansas and the Springfield/Branson, MO area.

The Ranch property borders the Buffalo National River Park. There are miles of hiking, biking and horse trails, spectacular scenery, wildlife and outdoor fun for every season of the year. Enjoy a beautiful sunset from the spacious deck. Relax in front of the huge fireplace on fall and winter evenings. A great escape from the hustle and bustle of the real world. Perfect for a family reunion, company retreat or romantic getaway.

The Main House sets high on a hill overlooking the 90,000+ acre National Park. It has two bathrooms, 2 large bedrooms, 1 with a king and 2 double beds, one with a queen, two double beds and a single bed. The living room has a sleeper sofa and two day beds. All towels and linens are furnished. There is a large fireplace, central AC/heat and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a screened in porch, large deck, picnic tables, BBQ grills (charcoal) horse shoes and volleyball/badminton. The yard area is landscaped with rock gardens and natural beauty all around.

The Bunk House can be rented along with the Main House, to accommodate large groups. It has a window AC unit, a bathroom (with a shower), refrigerator, coffee pot and microwave. There are 4 double beds, 4 single beds and a sleeper sofa. It is located across the driveway from the Main House.
*We have 6- 10 X 10 metal stalls for your horses and a large area to park trucks/trailers.

Buffalo National River, (middle Buffalo River/Tyler Bend): Experience canoeing, fishing, swimming. The middle Buffalo National River area is floatable early spring thru mid/late summer and even into the fall most years. There is local shuttle service/canoe rental available.

Hiking, Biking, Horse Trails: This area has many miles of trails, and there are additional trails in other adjoining National Forest and wildlife areas. Driving the scenic highways and back roads are also a great way to see this beautiful part of the world.

Tyler Bend Buffalo National River Visitor Center: The center is less than 10 minutes from the Wits End Ranch. It has many historical artifacts and current info on the area trails, maps, river conditions and wildlife. The center has a small movie theater which features films on the area.

Branson, Missouri: Branson has great music shows and is an easy, scenic drive from the ranch. You can choose from country music, gospel, and comedy shows by some of the biggest names in the business. Branson has also become one of the premier golf destinations in the country.

Marshall, Gilbert, Leslie and St. Joe Arkansas: There are crafts, antiques, furniture and gift stores along with restaurants, churches and a drive-in movie theater.

Wildlife Viewing: You can enjoy seeing the Buffalo National River elk herd at many locations along the Buffalo River. We also have a wonderful variety of wildlife including whitetail deer, black bear, gray and red squirrels, bald eagles and great blue herons. Exploring Arkansas is an adventure. Be sure to bring your camera.

It is the mission of Wits End Ranch owners to provide a clean, comfortable and private retreat to guests who come to experience all the Buffalo National River has to offer. Guests will have one of the most spectacular views of the Buffalo National River Park and easy access to the many miles of hiking, biking and riding trails in the national park. Beautiful sunsets, wildlife viewing, floating the Buffalo River and exploring the surrounding bluffs and forest, are as close to heaven on earth as it gets!
Guests can enjoy time at the Wits End Ranch thru the nightly rental program. The Wits End Ranch also has 3 to 5 acre parcels for sale. These parcels join the Ranch property and some border the Buffalo National River Park. Property owners can build their dream home or vacation cabin get away. Owners are welcome to place their home or cabin in the Wits End Ranch nightly rental program. The Wits End Ranch, Hwy. 65, St. Joe, AR, is less than 2 hours from Springfield, MO/Little Rock, AR and borders the 90,000 + acre “Buffalo National River Park”. This is beautiful country to hunt with abundant deer, turkey and other wildlife.
